Laboratory Information System (LIS) created used SQL: Designed a Laboratory Information System (LIS) database using SQL. The database contained multiple tables and charts that were all interconnected and allowed the user to retrieve the information in the database that was necessary to their role. The database included laboratory results, patient information, doctor information, and employee information.
Research Analytics with SAS: Utilized SAS to work with data from a clinical trial study to determine whether two drugs, Drug ‘A’ or Drug ‘B’ was more effective in helping lower blood sugar levels. Worked with the database to “clean” the database first from missing or inaccurate data, then performed Anova analysis in order to answer the research question.
Data Analytics with MATLAB: Utilized MATLAB to analyze the relationship between Cholesterol and Hemoglobin A1C levels in the United States. Utilized data from NHANEs and prepared the data to answer the research question. Answered various research questions from utilizing this data, such as comparing different state’s data, comparing health data of two different years, and health data of men vs. women.
Machine Learning with Python: Utilized Python to read the Hepatitis C data of Egyptian patients in order to create a Support Vector Machine that can differentiate patients who have Hepatitis C and patients who do not have the condition.
Clincial Trial Data Management with REDCap: Created a data collection tool in REDCap in order to gather data from a mock clinical trial for the effectiveness of community health fairs on metabolic syndrome. Distributed the data collection tool to other classmates and worked on forming queries, cleaning data, and practicing good clinical practice in documentation and data collection in order to prepare the data properly for the mock clinical trial.
The Utilization of Laboratory Results for the Diagnosis of Blood Disorders with Corvid Software: Created a Clinical Decision Support System using CORVID that looks at a patient's laboratory results and informs the doctor of a blood disorder diagnosis the patient may have using their Complete Blood Count (CBC) results. Informs the doctor if any further testing should be performed.
